01. SELECTION & PREPARATION

. …….

A. Strap Size Selection:

To find your watch strap size, measure the distance in millimetres between the two lugs. This will usually be either 20mm, 22mm or 18mm.

Lug Measurement

B. Odd Sized Lugs

For odd lug sizes such as 19mm and 21mm, we suggest sizing down 1mm (i.e. 18mm for 20mm, and 20mm for 21mm). Although this results in a theoretical 1mm gap, once mounted with the watch and worn, the weave on both nylon and cotton canvas straps expands slightly making it less noticeable.

If you do choose to size up, the 1mm over size may result in some “bunching” at the sides. Increased friction during repeated installation may deteriorate the strap and case. Therefore we would recommend installing the spring bars over the strap.

C. Original Strap Removal

If you have yet to remove your original strap, a string bar tool will simplify the task. This tool resembles a miniature 2 prong fork and is inserted between the case lug and side of the strap to disengage the spring bar from the case.

Once separated, remove the spring bar from the original strap, and reinstall only the bars back onto the case.

D. Strap Thickness & Case Clearance

It is important to examine the space between the spring bar and the case. For some watches, the bar is placed very close to the case as it may be designed specifically for 2 piece straps, and not with a 1 piece pass-through strap in mind.

In this case, you may need to consider curved springbars to increase this space in order to use a 1 piece pass-through strap design.

Curved Springbars

Do not force or drag a pass-through strap into a tight clearance case, as attempting to do so will deteriorate the strap, spring bars and case.

02. INSTALLATION

. …….

The majority of our straps have a “Single Pass” layout (without the extended under-layer). This comprises a single layer which is passed under and out of the watch case which securely holds the watch, while streamlining the wearing profile once mounted.

A. For: Service Series, Corp. Canvas Series, Parade Series

For Service, Corp. Canvas and Parade Series straps, insert the strap end through the spring bars, under and out of the watch head. (For the Parade Series, also insert the tail through the extra under-layer as a last step)

Install 01

Alternatively, if the clearance between the spring bars and watch case is tight, install the spring bars over the strap. You can also consider curved spring bars to increase the space. This is particularly relevant to the Corp. Canvas series of straps due its higher side profile.

Installed Over

Do not force or drag a pass-through strap into a tight clearance case, as attempting to do so will deteriorate the strap, spring bars and case.

B. For: HAV-IVA Series

01. For the HAV-IVA Series straps, insert the tail under and out of watch case. then insert one of the Rubber Keepers on.

02. Insert the tail through the metal hoop keeper to mount and secure the strap to you wrist.

03. Firmly engage the hook and loop surfaces and advance the Rubber Keeper towards the hoop to lock the set up.

Due to the higher profile of the hoop surfaces and the double layer construction; if the lug to case clearance is tight, please consider installing curved spring bars to allow for more space, or installing the spring bars over the strap.

Do not force or drag a pass-through strap into a tight clearance case, as attempting to do so will deteriorate the strap, spring bars and case.
