THE P-42C CAMOUFLAGE CANVAS STRAP

PATTERN/ PAIRING:

Inspired by it’s namesake combat uniform, the HAV P-42C Reversible Camouflage Watch Strap is equipped with our own in-house interpretation 

of the “Frog Skin” pattern. This dual sided disruptive design features a discreet repeating “H” mark to reflect the USMC EGA markings on the original HBT uniforms.

The P-42C Canvas strap offers an unique and bold statement pattern which pairs excellently with a range of Field and Naval tool watches and especially those with monotone dial and “vintage” warm lume designs.

LAYOUT:

A one-piece strap layout outfitted with a free moving keeper, which allows the spare tail to be stowed without the need for folding back (unless desired), and repositioned 7 o’clock buckle to deliver greater comfort and enhanced aesthetics. 

Mirroring a 1945 dated NOS specimen strap, the single-pass layout offers a streamlined wearing profile and reduced "off-wrist" height while retaining the security of a one-piece layout to protect against spring-bar failure. 

To facilitate the dual sided role, the P-42 is also equipped with a double sided bead blasted buckle which can easily serve both surfaces. 

CONSTRUCTION / INSTALLATION

With a double layer of cotton canvas construction and stitch reinforced holes, our Canvas line has a higher side profile than our other straps. 

For watches with a limited springbar to case clearance, install bars over the strap, or consider curved bars. Do not force strap through, as this may deteriorate strap, bars and case.

Due to the specialised and challenging printing method used to apply the surface pattern on cotton canvas, there is no further confirmed availability beyond the current stock, and as such is offered as a limited edition.
